Things I’m Currently Obsessing Over: February Edition
One of my favourite things is discovering new products, food, restaurants, etc. As I try to do more and try more in my new life here in Toronto, I’ve definitely been coming across so much more things to discover! As a Lifestyle blogger, it’s one of the things I strive to do – introduce my readers to things I’ve discovered that you may love too! That being said, I’ve decided to start a monthly feature where I fill you in on things I love and hopefully, get you obsessing about the same things!
[ Things I’m Currently Obsessing Over This Month ]
- Fashion – Floral Trousers
Spring is just around the corner & spring fashion is definitely on my mind. The colours, the prints, the pretty outfits. One of the pieces I have fallen in love with & have been DESPERATELY trying to find is a pair of gorgeous floral trousers (much like the picture courtesy of Pinterest). They not only scream Spring but are the perfect item for the fashionable girly girl.
- Beauty – Activated Charcoal Face Wash
This is a slight lie since I have been loving Activated Charcoal for a few years now BUT I have finally found an AMAZING dual facial wash-mask that contains not only activated charcoal but Kaolin clay & the results have been phenomenal! My normally oily skin has been less so the past few weeks and my skin has felt cleaner, smoother and just easier to deal with since using this product. Best part? It’s reasonably priced! Check out Garnier SkinActive Clean + Pore Purifying Clay Cleanser Mask, $8.99
- Food – Pomegranate
Is it weird I have ONLY tried Pomegranate in January for the first time ever?! Ever since I have, I’ve needed to get it on my weekly grocery runs. And not just a pomegranate (which I find oddly satisfying to cut & remove the arils) but the pre-packaged arils from POM. I can sit there and eat ’em all day. They are so delicious and great for you!
- Book – Nocturnal Animals/Tony and Susan by Austin Wright
I was intrigued to read this book just before Christmas when I saw the trailer for the movie ‘Nocturnal Animals‘ starring Jaky Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams, Directed by Tom Ford (yes, THAT Tom Ford). After looking into it more, I found it was based on the 1993 novel ‘Tony and Susan‘ by Austin Wright. After having it on my ‘To Buy’ list for a few weeks, I finally bought it and was instantly hooked. I read the damn thing is 2 days. If you’re looking for something to keep you up all night & promising yourself to only read one more chapter (which always turns into another 4-5), this is the book for you. The movie has its differences but is also worth a watch.
