Spicy Ranch Burgers
With Canada Day just days away (& Memorial Day for my American readers), many of us are planning a great BBQ with friends and family.
$100 bucks says you’ll be serving hamburgers. No judgment here because so will I (who doesn’t love a great burger?) but why not serve up a twist on the summertime staple and have your guests drooling? Rock their tastebuds with the combo of smoky chipotle and creamy ranch in this delicious spicy ranch burger!
If you’ve never made burgers before, don’t be intimidated! It’s honestly super easy – and once you taste the fruits of your labour, you’l never return to those store bought, frozen patties again!
First up, you’ll need to round up your ingredients.
Add all your ingredients above into a medium-sized mixing bowl. The red onion is optional – you can add a yellow onion or none at all – I just love red onions in my burgers because I find it adds more flavour!
Once you’ve combined all the ingredients, form the mix into balls (you’ll note in the picture I’m wearing latex gloves – I just find it cleaner that way). You can form the balls into four inch patties or you can use a hamburger press to form them. If you’ve been debating getting one – DO IT! I love mine – you place the balls into the centre and flatten with the top piece. The orange tabs you in the images allow for the patties to be easily removed from the press. They even make them in mini versions too!)
Fire up the grill and cook them for 5 mins on each side, add a bun and some condiments of your choice and you’re good to go!
