50 Life Changes for Happy & Healthier Living
Note from Lana |Lifestyle Queen Bee: Do you guys remember my blogger feature on Dawn Craven from My Life In A Blog? (If you missed the interview, check it out here). She’s back today with a spectacular guest post on 50 ways to live a healthier & happier existence. With the warmer weather ahead, it’s time to shake off those winter cobwebs & get ready to enjoy life (& outside!) again.
Sometimes all we need is a tiny little change in our lives to turn everything around and cheer us up. These are my 50 tips to change your life to get you happier and healthier as fast as possible.
- Drink More Water
If you like soda you could start off with flavored sparkling water. Also, if you don’t like how plain water is you could try it by infusing it with fruit and/or herbs. This makes it so much better and a lot less plain.
- Don’t Skip Breakfast
Every time you skip breakfast, you’re going to end up low on energy throughout the day and tired/drained. Always make sure to eat breakfast and if you don’t really get hungry in the mornings then just grab some fruit or toast or a granola bar or a smoothie or just something super simple that you feel like. Anything is much better than nothing at all.
- Snack on things like Berries and Almonds
Not only are these a super healthy snack and delicious but they also strengthen hair and nails. They will thank you in the end I promise.
- Take Omega-3
Omega-3 is actually known to help improve mood and alleviate depression.
- Drink Herbal Tea
Peppermint tea is a very popular tea and is one of my favorites. Drinking herbal tea is known to help relax you and keep you calm.
- Add Green to Your Diet
Try to add something green into your diet at least once a day.
- Snack Healthy
Always have something healthy to snack on, you don’t want to end up at those vending machines getting those chips full of calories.
- Stretch It Out
When working or studying, step away from your desk for a moment and stretch. This will help refresh you, get your leg muscles out of stiffness, and also make you feel much better and more awakened.
- Eat Slower
This will help your body digest your food better and also make you feel full faster so you won’t want to eat extras because you gave your body time to digest.
- Don’t Grocery Shop While Hungry
We all know where this leads.
- Laugh as Much as You Can
Whether you watch a comedy movie or a ton of funny videos it’s always good to have a good laugh every now and then.
- Practice Gratitude
When you lie down at night or wake up in the morning think of or list off all of the things and people you’re grateful to have in your life.
- Be Kind. Always
No matter who it is and if they can’t be kind to you, just tell them to have a nice day and just walk away. Kindness is always best.
- Start a Ritual
Create some morning rituals that you’ll look forward to everyday.
- Take the Stairs
Also when shopping, park a little further from the doors. Burn those extra calories.
- Wake up Earlier
Waking up earlier you can get more things done and taken care of and also feel much better.

Have picnics, take walks, and use your photography skills.
- Do Something Nice for Others
Nothing is better than putting a smile on someone else’s face. It’s absolutely amazing.
- Practice Self-Care
Taking care of yourself is always a good option.
- Diffuse Essential Oils
They smell great and can help relax you when you need it.
- Never Send a Text or Email When Angry
When you’re angry you’re going to say something you don’t mean and then you’ll just regret it in the end. Wait until you cool off first.
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
It’s good for the Earth!
- Don’t Complain
Honestly, this just makes things worse. No matter how often you complain about it, it’s not going to change, especially the things that are out of your control. Just let it be.

Stop saying tomorrow, Friday, next month, or next year, it won’t happen when you procrastinate. Get up and get it over with.
